Preparations underway for Cyprus-Armenia-Greece summit
Mediamax – Today Foreign Ministers Zohrab Mnatsakanyan of Armenia and Nikos Dendias of Greece have discussed over the phone the preparations for Cyprus-Armenia-Greece summit, which is due to be held in Yerevan.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mnatsakanyan and Dendias have underlined the importance of the trilateral platform Cyprus-Armenia-Greece for consolidation of the partnership and regional cooperation between the three countries.
The two foreign ministers have also exchanged views about urgent international and regional issues.
The first trilateral meeting in the Cyprus-Armenia-Greece format took place on June 4, 2019. It was held at the level of foreign ministers.
The sides agreed to establish a trilateral partnership aimed at promoting peace, stability and prosperity among the three countries through extended political dialogue and cooperation.
During that meeting, it was decided to hold the first trilateral summit of Armenian, Greek and Cypriot leaders in Armenia in 2020.
The second meeting of Armenia, Greek and Cypriot foreign ministers took place in New York in September 2019.
