Stepanakert Hosts Conference on Artsakh’s National Liberation Struggle
STEPANAKERT—On October 4, President of the Nagorno Karbakh Republic, Bako Sahakian, partook in an international conference, titled “Artsakh’s National Liberation Struggle: From Gyulistan to Today,” in Artsakh’s capital city, Stepanakert.
In his speech President Sahakian noted the importance of having such international meetings, which facilitate more scientific, in-depth understanding of the Artsakh issue and which allow for more comprehensive monitoring of regional processes and more accurate projections of possible developments.
According to the President, the Armenian nation’s aspiration for a free and sovereign existence and restoration of national statehood is one of the longest national liberation struggles in world history. Restoring free, sovereign and powerful national statehood and ensuring its continuous development is the inalterable, supreme strategic objective.
