His Holiness Aram I Visits the Schools of Sourp Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church

His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia, visited the CPE St-Jacques childhood centre, the Aram and Berjouhi Markarian Day Care, and the Sourp Hagop Sarafian Elementary and Pasdermajian High Schools on the morning of June 2, 2023.
Students from all the levels of the different schools eagerly waited for His Holiness and presented Him with a special welcome and cultural programs.
The Pontiff blessed the schools and emphasized the important role they play in keeping Armenian culture alive and prospering from generation to generation.
Laval’s Armenian Community welcomes His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos
The Armenian community of Laval welcomed His Holiness Aram I at Sourp Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church on the evening of June 2, 2023.
The Pontiff was greeted at the entrance of the Armenian Community Centre of Laval by clergy members from across Canada, members from the Prelacy Executive Council, Church Board of Trustees, representatives of sister organizations, as well as the Homenetmen GAMK scouts and fanfare band, prior to being escorted to Sourp Kevork Church for a formal meeting with the Armenian community of Laval.
His Eminence, Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, on behalf of the Armenian communities in Canada, extended his gratitude in his welcoming words to His Holiness.
His Holiness in turn delivered a heartfelt message of unity, emphasizing the importance of strengthening our community organizations, institutions, and members through our active participation.
The evening ended with the benediction of His Holiness Aram I, after which church parishioners had the opportunity to personally greet and extend their loyalty to their Pontiff.
