Senators of the Philippines, representatives of Manila Municipality, Mayor of Tagum City, heads of accredited diplomatic delegations, as well as members of Armenia-The Philippines friendship group were present at the liturgy.

The Turkish Consul in Manila had tried to hinder the liturgy by contacting the leader of the Santuario de San Antonio Church and mentioned during the conversation that the liturgy is a political one by nature organized by Armenians which “should be banned in order to avoid further political consequences.”

According to the information of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the Turkish Embassy also sent a letter of complaint to the Foreign Ministry of the Philippines.

After the liturgy, a brief history of Armenia and the Armenian Genocide was presented to the attendees.
