Russian Military Transport Plane Denied Entry Into Azerbaijan Airspace –

PanARMENIAN.Net – Russian Air Forces jet AN-124 Ruslanthat took off from the airport in Gyumri, Armenia was denied entry into Azeri airspace, Razm.info reports.

The jet, heading for Russia on Sunday, November 15, was forced to turn back shortly after the take-off.

Aviation blog mil_avia was the first to report the incident.

The publication also includes the pilot’s radio communications with the dispatcher at Gyumri airport.

According to the records, the pilot said he was forced to return as “the Azerbaijani military sector forbade entry to the zone.”

Deployed in Armenian city of Gyumri, the 102nd Russian military base has its logistical support carried out mainly by air.
