PRESIDENT OF SWITZERLAND DIDIER BURKHALTER VISITED TSITSERNAKABERD MEMORIAL COMPLEX –

 

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swiss Foreign Minister and President of the Confederation Didier Burkhalter and the accompanying delegation visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex within the framework of his state visit to Armenia.

Didier Burkhalter laid a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. The Swiss delegation put flowers at the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. Swiss president also planted a fir in the Memorial Alley. 

In 2003 the National Council of Switzerland accepted a resolution about the recognition of Armenian Genocide.
