(Horizon Media / TORONTO) – On Monday, May 25, 2026, members of Ontario’s Armenian community gathered at Queen’s Park for the fourth annual celebration of Armenian Heritage Month in the Province of Ontario. Organized by MPP Aris Babikian (Scarborough—Agincourt), the event brought together community, religious, and political leaders to recognize the longstanding contributions of Armenian-Canadians to the province and the country as a whole.

The evening was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian, alongside clergy, representatives of Armenian churches and organizations, community leaders, and members of the Armenian community.

Among the distinguished guests present were Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Anahit Harutunyan, provincial ministers, Members of Provincial Parliament, ambassadors and consuls, as well as representatives of various ethnic and community organizations.

Speakers throughout the evening reflected on the history, cultural heritage, and enduring presence of Armenians in Canada, while underscoring the importance of preserving the Armenian language, faith, and traditions for future generations. The gathering also highlighted Ontario’s multicultural character and the spirit of mutual respect and coexistence that continues to shape Canadian society.

The annual Armenian Heritage Month celebration once again served as an opportunity to reaffirm the unity, vitality, and continued civic and cultural engagement of the Armenian community across Ontario and Canada.
