Vatican’s moral standing on test

How deceitful and morally corrupt to get the Holy See deeply engaged in active cooperation with the government of Azerbaijan, the seat of fascism and the continuous perpetrator of ethnic cleansing and genocide.

It has just been reported that a high-level memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vatican and the government in Baku laying the foundations of a long term cooperation…

Who are these policymakers at the Holy See cynically compromising the moral authority of the church? Azerbaijan is guilty of having brutalized the people of the Republic of Artsakh; it has forcibly expelled its people from its ancient homeland; it has occupied their homeland; it has desecrated their churches and other religious shrines; it has declared an open war against the Armenian Church and is pursuing — as we speak — an illegal and torturous trial of the political prisoners in its possession ( the very leadership of democratic Artsakh). And yet these fathers of the Catholic Church choose to be sinfully oblivious to what Azerbaijan really represents and allow themselves to be manipulated by outright thugs in Baku. Have you forgotten your lifelong pledge to uphold the truth of Christ? Have you no commitment to principles of what’s right and wrong? How dare you play political games with the moral integrity of the Holy See?!
