There should be right of return of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh, US senator Ed Markey says in Azerbaijan

During a COP29 press conference in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, US Senator Ed Markey called for Azerbaijan’s release of political prisoners and asserted the right of return of Nagorno-Karabakh’s ethnically cleansed Armenians, the Armenian National Committee of America reports on X.

“We believe that the political prisoners should be released. We believe there should be a right of return of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh,” Markey said.
