Security chief hails ‘strong’ Armenia-EU ties

Secretary of the Armenia’n Security Council Armen Grigoryan has attended the Forum 2000 in Prague during his visit to the Czech Republic.

During the conference, Grigoryan spoke about the Armenia-EU bilateral relations, stressing the importance of the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda, as well as the launch of visa liberalization dialogue between Armenia and the EU, his office reported on Tuesday.

Grigoryan added that Armenia-EU relations, which have expanded to encompass the security sector, “have never been as strong as they are now”, and are developing consistently.

He stressed that the bilateral relations are based on democracy. In this context, Grigoryan attached importance to the activity of the EU civilian mission and the work within the European Peace Facility.
