Polish President visits Armenian Genocide Memorial
The delegation led by Polish President Andrzej Duda visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex on November 26, accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Poland Alexander Arzumanyan.
Edita Gzoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), accompanied the guests to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, and briefed them in the history of the creation of the memorial complex.
The Polish President laid a wreath at the monument to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims, then the guests laid flowers at the eternal flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence.
Andrzej Duda then planted a silver fir tree in the Memory Park. Expressing gratitude for the visit, AGMI Director Edita Gzoyan presented Polish President Andrzej Duda with books on the Armenian Genocide.
