India delivers first batch of Pinaka rockets to Armenia

(Horizon Weekly) – A ceremonial event marking the delivery of the first batch of rockets for Pinaka multiple launch rocket systems to Armenia was held on Sunday in the Indian city of Nagpur, The Times of India reported.
India’s Minister of Defence, Rajnath Singh, attended the ceremony, which formally signalled the shipment of weapons to Armenia. Addressing the gathering, Singh described the delivery as a “turning point for India’s defence industry,” as the country seeks to expand its presence in the international arms market.
The guided rockets, manufactured by Nagpur-based Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited, have a range of up to 70 kilometres. According to Indian media reports, deliveries of the Pinaka multiple launch rocket systems to Armenia were carried out during 2023–2024.
