FlyOne Armenia to launch direct Yerevan–Vienna flights this April

(Horizon Weekly) – Armenia’s home-grown low-cost carrier FlyOne Armenia announced it will inaugurate direct flights on the Yerevan–Vienna–Yerevan route as of April 3, 2026. The service will operate twice weekly, every Monday and Friday, from Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan.
The move comes at a moment of expansion for the airline. In late 2025, FlyOne Armenia completed the acquisition of three new Airbus A320 jets from Avia Solutions Group, a strategic investment valued at over US $70 million.
This fleet boost dramatically enhances the airline’s capacity and flexibility, enabling more frequent and longer-haul routes, including the new link to Vienna. FlyOne’s expansion is part of a broader push to improve air connectivity to and within Armenia, making travel “easier, more affordable and more convenient,” as the airline described it.
With the added capacity from the new A320s, FlyOne Armenia hopes to attract a growing number of European travellers, tapping into the rising interest in Armenian tourism and making it simpler for diaspora Armenians to travel between Europe and the homeland. The Vienna route, linking the Armenian capital with one of Europe’s cultural hubs, is expected to strengthen ties between Armenia and Austria, boosting both tourism and business.
As the airline expands its fleet and route network, this new flight marks another important milestone for Armenia’s developing aviation sector.
