Canada’s Representative to Palestine visits Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem

(Horizon Weekly) – On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Head of Canada’s Representative Office to Palestine, Graham Dattels, paid a visit to the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where he met with His Beatitude Patriarch Nourhan Manougian.

The conversation focused on the growing challenges facing Christian communities in the Holy Land, including concerns about religious freedom and the Arnona tax. Patriarch Manougian briefed the Canadian diplomat on the Patriarchate’s efforts to safeguard its rights and to ensure the protection of the Armenian presence in Jerusalem.

The Chancellor of the Patriarchate, Very Reverend Fr. Aghan Gogchyan, also took part in the meeting.
