Armenia, China keen to advance defense cooperation

On a visit to the People’s Republic of China, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with Admiral Dong Jun, China’s Minister of National Defense.

The interlocutors commended the high level of relations between the two countries across various domains, including defense. The parties noted the substantial progress in military cooperation in recent years, including the exploration of new areas.

The Ministers expressed their commitment to further advancing of Armenia-China cooperation, including enhancing high-level interactions between the Armed Forces of both countries.

A range of issues related to international and regional security was also discussed.
