ANCC Western Region representatives attended British Colombia government inauguration 

On November 18th , the Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC)  Western Region representatives Vahe Andonian and Jack Deragopian, were invited to attend the historic inauguration of the 3rd consecutive NDP government in the province of BC. The event was held at Government House in Victoria, and presided over by Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin.
Tha ANCC delegation met with the lieutenant governor, former ministers , members of the Green Party of BC, and newly elected and reelected MLAs.
Notable among them were newly appointed Minister of Energy and Climate Solutions Hon. Adrian Dix, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development Diana Gibson, and newly elected MLA Nina Krieger, who previously worked with ANCC on an exhibition of the photos and memoirs of Armenian Genocide witness Armin Wegner at the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
After the introduction of the government ministers and the formal program, the ANCC delegation had  a brief private meeting with Premier David Eby, where they presented him with a congratulatory letter from Armenian Parliamentarian and ARF member Lilit Galstian. In the letter, MP Galstian reflected on meeting the Premier in 2023 at the Vancouver OSCE Parliamentary Assembly meeting. She thanked Premier Eby for his unwavering support of the Armenian community of British Columbia, and for addressing their concerns regarding their brothers and sisters in Armenia and Artsakh.
The ANCC members congratulated Premier Eby on his reelection and second term as Premier.  Mr. Andonian took the occasion to brief the Premier on the latest aggressions against Armenia by Azerbaijan and the ongoing plight of the 150,000  dispossessed indigenous Armenians of Artsakh, who were unlawfully and forcefully driven from their ancestral homes and homeland in an act of ethnic cleansing and ongoing cultural genocide.
