Armenia marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of it’s Armed Forces –
“It is symbolic that the first thing we have done today was visiting the Yerablur Military Cemetery, our brothers in arms,” Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said told reporters.
On the occasion of Army Day marked in Armenia today, on January 28, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and the top leaders of the country, visited the Yerebalur Military Cemetery in Yerevan and paid tribute to the memory of Armenia’s sons who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Motherland.
“We shiver today when hearing their names. The pain and feats mingle together and build a sense of pride in our brothers in arms and our army,” the minister said.
In his words, the fighting efficiency of the Armenian armed forces enables to say that our victorious army is competitive in the region.
“Each day our army on the border and the line of contact gets excellent marks in its examination,” Ohanyan said.
