Two Armenian Weightlifters Win Gold at European Weightlifting Championships

YEREVAN (ARMENPRESS)—Hamlet Mnatsakanyan and Armen Grigoryan of Armenia have both won the first place prize in their respective weight categories at the European Weightlifting Championships, taking place in Landskrona, Sweden.

Mnatsakanyan won the champion title in the U17 category. The athlete from Gyumri lifted 189 kg in the two competition lifts. Armen Grigoryan, from Kasakh, won the champion title in the U15 category, having lifted 211kg in total.

Rafik Harutyunyan from Gyumri also won a silver medal, having lifted 204kg in total.
