Meeting between the chairman of Homentmen’s Central Committee and President Sarkssian –

On February 21, the chairman of Homentmen’s Central Committee Karnig Megerditchian met with Armenia’s president Serj Sarkssian at the Presidential Palace. Alos present at the meeting was Kapriel Chemberjian, the President of the Pyunik Human Resources Foundation.

Armenia-Diaspora relations as well as the importance of continuing and strengthening the cooperation between both and Homentmen’s role and contribution in regard to this matter were all on the agenda for discussion, in conjunction with the process of the Armenian Genocide Centennial’s National Committee work. The meeting lasted for over an hour.

Homentmen’s Central Committee head presented President Sarkssian the condition of Homentmen-HASK camp located in Puragan and the plans related to its improvement and expansion. President Sarkssian demonstrated a positive approach towards these plans, considering them as constructive and important. He also expressed his willingness to support them at the state level.

This meeting was also an opportunity to for chairman Megerditchian to update the president  about Homentmen’s various worldwide activities.
