Planning Gets Underway for Vardenis-Martakert Highway

The Vardenis-Martakert Highway (white) will connect to the Goris-Stepanakert and North-South highways (red), built in previous years with telethon funds.

STEPANAKERT—On Jan. 24, the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Bako Sahakian, convened a high-level consultation meeting regarding the construction of the Vardenis-Martakert Highway, the project funded by the 2013 “Hayastan” All-Armenia Fund Telethon.

Representatives from the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund and other institutions involved in the process delivered reports.

The President said that the construction of this strategically important highway should be given special attention to ensure high quality.
