According to the arabic AksAlser website, two Armenian families convert to Islam in Aleppo suburb –
The arabic AksAlser website was informed that two Armenian families, residing in the town of Kafr Hamara in the suburbs of Aleppo, have converted to Islam at the town mosque a few days ago.
Local sources stated that the two families proclaimed Islam in front of the people of the town and at the hands of Sheikh Wadah Kenego at the Musab bin Omair Mosque.
Activists added that some 9 Armenian families have been living in Kafr Hamara for more than six years, and the building where they live in the Al-Sabbagh community is known as “The Armenian Building”.
The activists pointed out that these families did not leave the town, and were neither subjected to harm nor forced to convert to Islam; it is to be noted that the radical faction “The Islamic State” has existed in the town for a long time.
Sources from the town confirmed to AksAlser that if these families were compelled to convert to Islam, then all nine families would have converted also, or at least would have been forced to since the town was liberated.
