Vartkes Mahdessian Declared Armenian Representative in the Cyprus Parliament

The incumbent Armenian MP Vartkes Mahdessian today was declared as the Armenian representative for the next five years in the Cyprus Parliament.
ARF Dashnaktsoutiun Cyprus first supported the candidacy of Armenian MP Vartkes Mahdessian in 2006 who since then has won three successive elections.
In comments made to the Cyprus media, ARF Dashnaktsoutiun Cyprus representative Simon Aynedjian stated that “Mahdessian’s 15 years as an Armenian MP have brought progress in all spheres in our community and brought the relationship between Cyprus and Armenia to new heights. Together with all community institutions, we look forward to continuing working with Vartkes for the benefit of our community and for Cyprus.”
Armenian National Committee of Cyprus President Hagop Kazandjian noted that he was looking forward to continuing working with Mahdessian on political issues of mutual concern.
