Azerbaijan, Turkey to conduct joint military drill next month

(MENAFN) Ankara and Baku will hold a joint military drill from May 1 to 3, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry affirmed on Monday.

Turkish soldiers who will take place in the drill have arrived in Azerbaijan, the ministry affirmed in a statement.

The drill “Mustafa Kemal Ataturk 2019” named after the founder of the Turkish Republic, goals to boost coordination between both countries armed forces.

The joint drill will contain military units in addition to armored vehicles, artillery batteries, mortars, airplanes and helicopters, and air defense systems.
