Artsakh president summoned to Anti-Corruption Committee for questioning

Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan has been summoned for questioning by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.

“The summons doesn’t stem from suspicion of an act committed by Samvel Shahramanyan, but from some media reports about the embezzlement of cars and money in Artsakh. Samvel Shahramanyan submitted a report about all this to the Investigative Committee,” Roman Yeritsyan, the lawyer of his bodyguard Ashot Danielyan, told journalists during a protest outside a Yerevan court on Wednesday.

He says this is not the first time Shahramanyan has been summoned for questioning.

“This is the second case when he is summoned for questioning on the basis of a report submitted by himself,” the lawyer added.
