Artsakh moves to toughen penalties for high treason, spying

The Artsakh National Assembly on Thursday unanimously adopted amendments to the Penal Code setting tougher penalties for high treason and espionage, the parliament’s press service said.

The new measure calls for 15-20 years of imprisonment or a life sentence for high treason.

The bill proposes 12-20 years of imprisonment or a life sentence for spying.
