Armenian Prelacy of Canada hosts North America Clergy Conference

From Monday, October 2 to Thursday, October 5, 2017, clergy from the three North American Prelacies (Eastern and Western USA, and Canada) will convene in Montreal, for a biennial joint Clergy Conference, under the auspices of the three Prelates of North America.

The conference will concentrate on His Holiness Aram I 2017 theme dedicated to “Year of Renewal”. The three Prelates, H.E. Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan (Eastern U.S.), H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian (Western U.S.), and H.E. Archbishop Papken Tcharian (Canada), will preside over the three-day conference, which will feature prayer services, spiritual reflections, lectures, and discussion on issues of mutual concern.

The Armenian Prelacy of Canada hosts the conference on the eve of the Feast of the Holy Translators with the following schedule: Morning nocturne church services on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30, Diving Liturgy Tuesday evening at 7:30pm, followed by a reception, and an evening vesper church service on Wednesday from 5-6pm. All services will be held at St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church, in Montreal.

Special banquet will take place Wednesday night dedicated to Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan’s 50th anniversary of ordination. The clergy will visit St. Hagop Armenian School Wednesday morning and spend an hour with students.
