ANCC meets with BC Health Minister Adrian Dix and raises concerns about ongoing atrocities against the indigenous Armenians of Artsakh
On the evening of April 18th in Vancouver, representatives from the ANCC Western Region, including Jack Deragopian, Meghrig Sulahian Chapanian, Eddie Papazian, and Sossy Terzian Yakoubian, were joined by members of the United Armenian Committee of British Columbia (BC) at a fundraising event hosted by BC Minister of Health Hon. Adrian Dix. Amidst the camaraderie and discussions about upcoming BC provincial elections, Minister Dix informed the audience of this year’s special Armenian Genocide Commemoration event, organized with the ANCC, which will be hosted at the BC Legislature on April 24th by Premier David Eby and Minister Dix .
He also committed to attend this year’s Armenian Genocide commemoration event on April 21 in Vancouver organized by the United Armenian Committee of BC. The ANCC and community members raised their grave concerns with Minister Dix and Minister Jennifer Whiteside, about ongoing atrocities against the indigenous Armenians of Artsakh by Turkish and Azeri forces. The need for continued awareness and action against these injustices remains crucial.
