One child killed, two wounded by Azeri shelling –

Armenianow –  12-year-old boy was killed and two more children were wounded in a populated area in Nagorno-Karabakh this morning as Azerbaijan used a deadly MM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher against civilians along with other military actions. 

The incident happened at about 8:30 am. The Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry has identified the killed child as Vaghinak Grigoryan (born in 2004).

On the night of April 2 the Azerbaijani armed forces launched large-scale offensive operations along the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh’s troops. According to the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, the Azerbaijani forces also targeted with artillery fire civilian areas and places of permanent deployment of a number of Karabakh military units.

A spokesman for the Armenian defense minister has confirmed that there were casualties on both sides. Artsrun Hovhannisyan said in a Facebook post that the Armenian forces have launched counteroffensive operations and that Azerbaijan has suffered numerous losses among personnel and materiel.
