Armenian President attends consecration of Saint Anna Church –

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and First Lady Rita Sargsyan on Thursday attended the consecration ceremony of Saint Anna Church in Yerevan.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II conducted the ceremony. 

Saint Anna Church and the residence of the Catholicos in Yerevan were built with the sponsorship of Hirair and Anna Hovnanians. The architect is Vahagn Movsisyan.

The church’s groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 30, 2011. The construction was completed in April 2015.
