Turkish soldier kills comrades and himself –

Al Jazeera – A Turkish soldier on guard duty on the Syria-Turkey border in Sanliurfa province has killed two other soldiers and then committed suicide, a senior Turkish official has said.

The governor of Sanliurfa province, where the incident took place, said the soldiers were on guard duty on the border in Ceylanpinar district.

Izzettin Kucuk said “a psychologically disturbed soldier killed two others, who were on duty at the same guard post”.

Earlier, the governer said that they were investigating if the fire came from the Syrian side.

As a result of suspicions of an attack coming from the Syrian side, Turkish special army forces were deployed to the border and security measures were increased in the area.
